Sitton Motor Lines, Joplin, Mo., has taken delivery of the first of 50 new Peterbilt Model 387 tractors.

"The room, ride and design of the Model 387 impressed us," says President Richard Sitton. "In terms of driver comfort, the Model 387 has the roominess today's drivers demand, and with the high price of diesel fuel, it makes more sense than ever to own a lightweight, aerodynamic,
fuel-efficient truck."
Sitton's long-length Model 387s have premium sleepers equipped with double bunks, full-length wardrobe closets, and 25 cubic feet of under-bunk storage. The trucks are powered by a Caterpillar C-12 engine, rated at 430 horsepower and equipped with cruise control and a Jake Brake, matched with Eaton Fuller's 10-speed AutoShift transmission.
Other features of Sitton's new Peterbilts include dual 100-gallon aluminum fuel tanks, Peterbilt's in-dash digital message center, a Panasonic AM/FM/cassette radio, and polished aluminum wheels.
