American Freightways plans to extend direct service to all points in Arizona by opening five customer centers in the state by mid-July.
This expansion will provide direct all-points intrastate, regional and interregional coverage of 40 contiguous eastern states.
The company offers three service levels. The standard service, American Flyer, provides next-day delivery on shipments moving as much as 600 miles and second-day delivery of as much as 1,600 miles. Day-definite and time-definite service is provided through American Flyer Guaranteed and American Expediter, respectively.
