Sterling Truck Corp. plans to offer a Ride & Drive program at the 2000 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY on March 23 and 24.
The program will feature Sterling's recently upgraded SilverStar premium tractor and the company's Acterra line of medium duty trucks and tractors. The SilverStars will have big horsepower engines, a luxurious interior with the Stellar trim level, and SilverStar's 77-inch unified high-roof sleeper.
The Ride & Drive will be held from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Thursday March 23 and Friday March 24 in the parking lot of the Papa John's Cardinal Stadium (University of Louisville stadium). The same parking lot will be used for free overnight truck parking for the Mid-America Trucking Show.
Drivers with valid commercial drivers licenses will be permitted to drive the Sterlings on a course laid out on adjacent roads and highways; those without a valid CDL can ride along with a Sterling-supplied professional driver.
Sterling will provide free shuttle bus service between its Ride & Drive site and the MATS show entrance at the South Hall of the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center while the Ride & Drive is in operation.
