The Arizona Motor Transport Association is permanently moving its annual truck show to Las Vegas and partner with The International Trucking Show.

The 500 member AMTA, which has held its trucking show in Phoenix since 1987, will also schedule its yearly board of directors meeting to coincide with ITS, scheduled for June 28-30 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Terry Smalley, AMTA executive vice president, is hoping the new affiliation will stimulate other western state associations to join the alliance.
Roger Sherrard, president of Independent Trade Show Management, which produces the International Trucking Show (ITS) for the California Trucking Association said strengthening of the western state associations would provide more focus on the issues that are more western regional in nature.
