Paccar Inc., parent of Kenworth and Peterbilt, is set to reopen its Ste.Therese, Quebec, plant in late September.

The 400,000 sq. ft. facility, once a Kenworth plant, has been enlarged and equipped with up-to-date manufacturing technology to build medium duty trucks.
"One of the key growth opportunities for Paccar is the Class 4-7 market in North America," said Executive Vice President Tom Plimpton.
"This $80 million investment and the ongoing development of new products, such as the Peterbilt 270 and Kenworth K300, will enable us to met our customer's increasing demand for high-quality medium duty products."
The plant was closed in mid 1996 following a prolonged labor dispute with the Canadian Auto Workers
