Penske Truck Leasing has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of GMI Rental & Lease Inc., a utility truck rental company based in Waukesha, WI. The deal is expected to close in about a month.
Included in the acquisition are approximately 200 specialized utility vehicles operating out of GMI’s location in Waukesha and 42 agent locations throughout the country.
“This is a strategic purchase consistent with Penske’s plans to continue to grow its utility rental business and to expand our service network,” said Ken Coots, senior vice president of the Northeast region for Penske Truck Leasing.
