The Ohio Department of Transportation yesterday has upgraded its computer-generated Ohio Transportation Information System to include news about the effects of winter weather on roads.

In the past, drivers have been able to pull information from the Web site describing lane and road closures caused by construction, flooding, accidents and other events.
According to a report in The Plain Dealer, the system will now include information on road closures caused by winter storms and provide a general description of the conditions of Ohio's highways.
Highway information can be found at http://www.dot.state.oh.us. Drivers can customize their search by specifying a city or county.
