Dec. 22 – Heavy truck sales hit record levels in November, with sales of more than 18,000 heavy trucks up 32.5% from a year ago.
Sales of 188,915 vehicles in the first 11 months of the year were up more than 18% from the year-earlier period, according to published reports.
Predictions are that more than 205,000 Class 8 trucks will be sold by the time the New Year rings in, beating the previous record of 201,303 set in 1995.
Freightliner, as usual, had the most market share, with monthly sales up nearly 60%.
