Sept. 30 – The second annual Southern Trucking Expo begins tomorrow in Atlanta. It will be held at the Georgia International Convention Center, near the Atlanta Hartsville International Airport and interstates 285, 85 and 75, at 1902 Sullivan Road.
Free shuttle service will be available to and from the TravelCenters of America at Moreland off I-285, the Pilot truckstop at Exit 37 off I-285 and the Petro truckstop at Exit 8 off I-285.
In addition to exhibits, the expo will feature a keynote speech tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. by Freightliner CEO Jim Hebe, Detroit Diesel Vice Chairman Ludvik Koci and David Foster, chairman of The Maintenance Council. The Gift Corral gives truckers a chance to win prizes such as CB radios, load tarps, audio books, die-cast truck models and more. And a Trucker’s Appreciation Barbecue will be held Friday night from 5:30-7 p.m.
