Landstar Systems has completed the sale of its Poole subsidiary to Schneider National for approximately $41 million in cash. This sale makes Landstar an entirely owner-operator company.
“The sale of the Landstar Poole business will remove Landstar from the fixed-cost-based, capital-intensive, company-owned tractor segment,” says Landstar Chairman, President and CEO Jeff Crowe.
Landstar, based in Jacksonville, FL, operates one of the largest truckload carrier businesses in North America. Its carrier group consists of Landstar Inway, Landstar Ligon and Landstar Ranger.
