The California State Highway Patrol says all lanes along Interstate 5 have reopened in both directions at the state route 2 interchange following a truck crash and fire Saturday that shut them down.

The National Transportation Safety Board has released an update in its continuing investigation into the May 23 bridge collapse in Mount Vernon, Wash., along Interstate 5.

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has announced a plan to replace the collapsed portion of the Interstate 5 bridge over the Skagit River near Mt. Vernon after it was damaged by a truck hauling an oversize load on Thursday, closing a section of the route.

UPDATED -- A bridge along Interstate 5 in Washington state partially collapsed Thursday evening, closing part of the route. Authorities are blaming it on a truck pulling an oversize load but the company says it has the proper permit to use the route.
