Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks have renewed their contracts with Decisiv, the provider of the ASIST tool that enables real-time communications between customers, dealers and service staff.

Both Volvo’s and Mack’s relationship with Decisiv spans more than a decade with ASIST, evolving from a dealer estimating tool into an integral part of each manufacturer’s "uptime" strategies.

“One of the ways we maximize vehicle uptime is by providing fleet customers with real-time actionable information in order to make the best possible repair decisions,” said Conal Deedy, director of connected vehicle services for Volvo Trucks. “The ASIST tool seamlessly integrates with our Remote Diagnostics telematics platform to quickly and effectively communicate information to our customers and dealers concerning monitored service events.”

By providing real-time access to Volvo and Mack for warranty, recalls, service bulletins, and build information, as well as third-party systems, ASIST can help customers make informed decisions to maximize their uptime thanks to robust communications about the service event.

“ASIST allows us to provide valuable information to decision makers in real time, helping to expedite repairs and maximize uptime,” said David Pardue, Mack vice president of connected vehicle & uptime services. “Extending our partnership with Decisiv will enable us to continue delivering the uptime solutions our customers depend on.”

Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks are both part of the Volvo Group, a global manufacturer of commercial vehicles and equipment, selling products in more than 190 markets.
