Meritor is launching a new line of Meritor AllFit clutches designed for original equipment and warehouse distributor customers, the company announced this week at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week in Las Vegas.

The all-makes clutch line includes both manual-adjust and self-adjusting models and covers heavy-, medium- light-duty and off-road applications. AllFit all-makes clutches are equipped with a high-performance friction material that Meritor said is exclusive to the brand.

All major interior components are new, not remanufactured, and because each clutch is a new unit, there is no assessed core charge or core handling fee. The line includes standard, one-year product warranty coverage with labor reimbursement of up to $800.

The manual-adjust model is designed for better uptime and offers more comfortable operation for drivers, according to Meritor. The high-torque, easier pedal effort clutch, reduces severe drivetrain vibration which can reduce maintenance costs and minimize downtime. The manual-adjusting clutch is available in a variety of sizes and torque ratings.

The self-adjusting model is designed to help extend service life by eliminating the downtime typically associated with regular clutch adjustments, said Meritor. Available in 15.5-inch x 2-inch sizing, the self-adjusting clutch comes with seven springs or nine springs in four- and six-paddle options.
