The American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists will be holding a clinic and educational program in Raleigh-Durham, N.C., in November for technicians on understanding electricity.

The program will cover advanced DVOM reading, schematic reading and volt meter only diagnostics and is designed to teach how to diagnose problems with electrical components on trucks and trailers.

The clinic will take place on Nov. 4 and 5 and will feature Daniel Sullivan of Sullivan Training Systems. Sullivan is an expert in vehicle electrical diagnostics and has written books on the subject and conducted training clinics in the U.S. and abroad. He will be sponsored at the clinic by Electronic Specialties Inc.

AFOCAS conducts technician education clinics twice a year. Each program focuses on different topics. Topics in the past have included total chassis alignment procedures, frame straightening, wheel-end vibration, air brake diagnostics and OSHA shop safety criteria.

The clinic begins at 8 a.m. on Nov. 4 at the Carlson’s Country Inn & Suites in Morrisville, N.C. Each attendee will receive Sullivan’s workshop book “Fundamental Electric Trouble Shooting” and a Loadpro test to take home.
