Hal Booth, a visionary leader in the transportation industry with vast experience in the trucking and truck leasing sector, died Saturday, Dec. 22.


He was senior vice president of Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Fleet Advantage, a truck fleet business analytics and equipment financing company.

The news was announced to colleagues by Fleet Advantage President and Chief Executive Officer John Flynn, a longtime friend and business partner who had worked with Hal for more than 20 years. "Hal was a giant among men, widely known and respected among his industry colleagues, and a great friend and trusted partner," said Flynn. "He will be in our hearts forever and remembered for his integrity, professionalism, and good humor."

Prior to Fleet Advantage, Hal was senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at Rockwell International and joined the truck leasing business with Flynn at First Fleet Corp. in 1995.
