Green Truck Association Announces Three Technology Councils

The
Green Truck Association, an affiliate division of the
National Truck Equipment Association, has formed three technology councils to better represent specific segments within the green truck industry.
The
Sustainable Integration Technology Council advances the integration of, and resolves the technical communications for, upfitters of green technologies within the work truck industry.
The
Lightweight Materials Technology Council brings together work truck professionals, technical experts and government representatives to compile information about the development and usage of lightweight materials in the manufacture, specification and operation of truck equipment and related accessories for fuel efficiency; vehicle "right sizing"; carbon reduction; operational longevity; recycling; general mass-compounding; and increased payload.
The
Vehicle Electrification Technology Council explores potential efficiency and performance benefits of vehicle electrification and provides a mechanism for identifying and promoting useful electrification technologies within the work truck market. To help facilitate increased adoption of work truck electrification technologies, the VETC facilitates education, works to remove road blocks and resolves identified issues.
