HDMA Announces Theme, Contributors For Heavy Duty Dialogue

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association is gearing up for next year's Heavy Duty Dialogue, settling on the theme of "The Next Decade in the Commercial Vehicle Industry" and announcing contributors
. HDD'10 will be held Jan. 18, 2010, at the Mirage in Las Vegas.

Heavy Duty Dialogue '10 is designed for executives in the global and domestic commercial vehicle industry. The event immediately precedes Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week '10.

Confirmed contributors include Dr. Thomas PM Barnett, Enterra Solutions; Juergen Reers, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants; Eric Starks, FTR Consultants; Stuart MacKay, MacKay and Co.; Robert McKenna, MEMA; Dennis Michels, Link Manufacturing; Bill Strauss, U.S. Federal Reserve; Peter Nesvold, Lazard Asset Management; Eli Lustgarten, Longbow Research; Sandeep Kar, Frost and Sullivan; Derek Kaufmann, C3 Network; Linda Longton, Randall Reilly Publishing; Fleet Executive Panel; and Howard Abramson, Transport Topics Publishing.

"Although the global commercial vehicle industry is always challenging, the next 10 years promises to be a period of significant change," said Timothy Kraus, president and chief operating officer of Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association. "Many leaders are discussing thoughts on what will represent the 'new normal for the industry.' The theme for Dialogue reflects the need for the commercial vehicle industry to look forward and explore what is currently happening, what is planned for the coming decade and develop strategies to best deal with the new environment."
