CAT Scale Co. has entered into an agreement with Hargett Enterprises Inc., to purchase Interstate Scales from the company. For the time being CAT Scale Co. will operate Interstate Scales intact while scale sites are evaluated.

"We see this as a win-win," says Delia Moon Meier, senior vice president of CAT Scale Co. "Interstate has a fully equipped and fully staffed office, technical center and warehouse in Evansville, Ind. With both offices, we are now only a one-day drive to 70 percent of our scales."
Interstate Scales has 143 truck scale locations throughout the United States at truckstops.
CAT Scale Co. is part of Iowa 80 Group that also owns and operates Iowa 80 TA Truckstop, Walcott, Iowa; Petro Stopping Centers in Joplin, Mo., and Oak Grove, Mo.; Kenly 95 TA Truckstop, Kenly, N.C.; Truckomat Truck Washes; IOWA80.COM mail-order catalog and e-commerce web site; as well as the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum, Walcott, Iowa.
