Security, workplace fatigue, commercial vehicle sizes and weights and the Commercial Drivers Licensing program will be featured at the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s upcoming education and training workshop
in Boston, Aug. 24-29.
George Rodriguez, director of cargo security in the Transportation Security Administration, will describe the agency’s mission and functions, including its security matters and their relationship to the Federal Motor Carrier Administration. The agenda also will feature an address by Bill Canary, President and CEO of the American Trucking Associations.
Comprehensive commercial vehicle sizes and weights and workplace fatigue will be the subject of two seminars. An online module that provides extensive information on Commercial Drivers Licenses will be introduced and displayed throughout the five-day workshop. The module was designed to be used by both enforcement agencies and the truck and motor coach industries.
More than 500 enforcement and industry safety professionals from Canada, Mexico and the United States, who are CVSA members, are expected to attend the workshop.
