Organizers of the recently completed Mid-America Trucking Show have pronounced this year's event a resounding success.

Exhibit Management Associates says the event in March in Louisville at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center drew 980 exhibitors from 47 states and nine foreign countries. This year’s show encompassed more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space, with 68,164 individuals from all 50 states and worldwide filling the aisles to capacity.
Organizers say the 2002 show was in tune with the current state of the heavy truck market.
“In a year which proved to be more economically restrictive than previously experienced, the transportation industry displayed grace under fire, pulling out all the stops with magnificent and often stunning visual exhibits of its wares," said Tim Young, President of Exhibit Management Associates.
“Mid-America has evolved over the years, and now serves industry executives in their assessment of the future financial conditions this industry must meet in their efforts to remain prosperous," he continued.
The official opening of 2003 exhibit space reservations will kick off Aug. 15. This year's participants will be offered first right of refusal on space. Next year’s show is scheduled for March 20-22 at the same location.
