The 31st Annual Mid-America Trucking Show runs Thursday through Saturday at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

The show will include a million square feet of exhibit space and more than 1,100 exhibiting companies, plus seminars and a number of special events. The show is open Thursday from 1-6 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
One of the most popular events is the Second Annual Paul K. Young Truck Beauty Championship, a Stars & Stripes Event, sponsored by Newport Communications. More than 100 trucks are expected to compete in 30 categories for cash prizes. (For more information, visit www.starsandstripesshow.com.)
The group Alabama will again be in concert Friday Evening at Freedom Hall, sponsored by Kenworth. Free tickets for CDL drivers are available from Kenworth the first day of the show.
In addition, Kid Rock will be in concert on Saturday, March 23. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.
At the Mid-America Jamboree, Eric Harley and Joe Kelley, hosts of The Midnight Trucking Radio Network, will welcome Country Music Award Winner Mindy McCready. All three will be available for autographs from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday.
Delphi is installing satellite radios at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium from Tuesday through Saturday.
The Mid-America Trucking Safety Center put on by Ol' Blue USA will feature a live-webcam, hourly trucking inspections, and a prize if you ask a question.
New this year will be Mid-America's Expedited Trucking InfoCenter, located in Booth No. 6659-1, sponsored by ExpediteTrucking.com.
There will be a number of seminars, many of them put on by the Kentucky Motor Transport Assn., on topics such as what to expect during a roadside inspection, preventing truck hijackings, legal topics, taxes, insurance, and trucking regulations.
