The Used Truck Assn. is going forward with its second annual convention, Nov. 8-10 at the Rio Rico Resort in Rio Rico (near Tucson), Ariz.

In light of the recent tragic events in America, the decision to proceed with the event was made after much contemplation. However, the UTA governing body felt it would be in the best interest of the United States.
“The UTA is committed to holding this convention,” said UTA President Steve “Bear” Nadolson. “We want to support our economy and send a message to those that perpetrated the horrors that we are not going to kowtow to their threats,” he said. “As President Bush requested in his speech to the nation, we must see that our lives and businesses go on in spite of their actions.”
The UTA governing body also expressed heartfelt sympathies for all those touched by the horrific acts of Sept. 11. “We have all been deeply affected by the tragedies,” they stated. “Our thoughts, prayers and support go out to all of the victims and their families.
