Jubitz Truckstop, Exit 307 off I-5 in Portland, OR, began a full-scale expansion and renovation June 30.

The project is adding 45,000 square feet and includes a renovated lounge, 110 additional seats in the restaurant, 66 new hotel rooms and a new retail center. The Ponderosa Saloon and Dance Hall, featuring live music for almost 30 years, is expanding to include a second dance floor, a larger stage and a game room.
Other features of the expanded truckstop will include an 80-seat movie theater, full-service laundry and laundromat, electronics and CB repair shop, beauty salon, leather/shoe repair/boot store, video arcade, gift store, and 24-hour Arco gas station, convenience store and fast-food restaurant.
The facility will remain open during construction, expected to be completed by summer 2000.
