Automotive Management Resources has launched a trucking-specific recruitment web site at http://www.truckingcareernet.com.
Trucking professionals enter their resume on the site, then search for job opportunities by keyword, location, or type of business (dealers, suppliers, manufacturers, etc.) Listings provide information on the job qualifications and background on the employer. Applicants submit the code number of their resume on file to apply for the job.
"Working with employers on a daily basis, I was constantly being asked for assistance with recruiting technicians," says Tony Radoci, president of Automotive Management Resources Inc., developer and parent company. "It is a nationwide, industry-wide problem, and AutoTechs USA is providing a cost-effective Internet solution."
But the site goes beyond just technicians, offering a variety of trucking-related positions, such as events manager for a major truck maker, cost accounting supervisor, maintenance shift supervisor, body shop manager, warranty administrator, computer engineer, training rep, etc.
The site also lists career resources, such as publications, associations and links to articles on topics such as preparing for an interview, preparing a resume and cover letter, and networking. A separate page offers information on relocating.
