Volvo Trucks North American (http://www.volvotrucks.volvo.com) will sponsor a series of sales training seminars in cooperation with component and body manufacturers. The two-day workshops, focusing on selling to vocational customers, will be conducted in 10 major cities starting in April.
The seminar will provide an overview of the vocational marketplace by truck types, as well as discussions on specific truck applications. It also will cover Volvo engines and T-ride suspensions, advanced weight distribution, and the federal bridge formula. Vocational experts from Eaton will speak about manual transmissions, brakes and central tire inflation systems. Allison representatives will offer information on automatic transmissions.
Plans also call for representatives from various body manufacturers to cover topics related to installing refuse, dump and mixer bodies.
The workshop will also cover strategies to identify new customers and enhance selling techniques by learning more about vocational truck customers’ needs.
Registration is limited and open to Volvo sales professionals and sales representatives from body manufacturers.
