Bering Truck Corp. officially launched its new product line recently with 60 Bering MD Series Trucks, which arrived at the Port of Newark, NJ, after assembly in Korea to Bering’s U.S. specifications.

“When we began forming Bering Truck Corp. two years ago, we had envisioned the day when the first group of Bering Trucks would hit America’s roads,” said William Anderson Jr., president and CEO. “That day has come, for today, we officially open ‘Bear Season.’ America’s newest truck manufacturer is open for business.”
The shipment was then delivered to Bering’s dealers. The company will continue to introduce and deliver Class 3-8 trucks to its dealers over the next several months.
The Class 6 MD Series trucks feature Cummins ISB turbo diesel engines and other U.S. components, such as Meritor WABCO ABS and Delco Remy starters and alternators, on Hyundai chassis. They are currently assembled in Korea, but Bering is building a plant in Front Royal, VA.
