Oct. 9 – Kenworth’s Chillicothe, OH, plant recently rolled its 150,000th truck off the production line.
The 1999 T2000 with 75-inch Aerodyne sleeper was sold by Hissong-Kenworth of Richfield, OH, to Edwards Transportation, headquartered in Ravenswood, WV.
Kenworth-Chillicothe plant manager Alan Mayne, Hissong-Kenworth new truck sales manager John Yehl and salesman John Maurer turned the keys over Tuesday to Edwards Transportation representatives in a brief ceremony.
The T2000 is the company’s first Kenworth in 10 years of business. “I decided to try the T2000 because its aerodynamic look and styling really caught my eye,” said Tony McCoy, president of the 144-truck fleet. He liked it so much, in fact, he ordered seven.
