The “human factors” of driver performance will be examined during a commercial driver symposium next month in New York.
“Commercial Driver Performance: A Shared Responsibility” is being held September 14-15 at the Four Points Hotel in Liverpool, NY. The event is sponsored by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the New York State Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, and the Federal Highway Administration.
Panel discussions will be held on topics such as driver fatigue, the role of technology in improving safety, drug and alcohol testing rights and responsibilities, and improving entry-level driver skills.
