Trincon Group, a national transportation industry advisory firm, in conjunction with the Ohio Trucking Association, announces Ohio Trucking University, a new series of educational programs focused on key issues within the trucking industry.

Topics will range from productivity improvement and costing strategies to driver development and retention.

Designed specifically to address some of the most critical issues affecting trucking in Ohio and throughout the country, OTU will explore new approaches in developing a driver career path within an individual company or the industry.

The series will also explore what is needed to absorb the increased cost of wages, fuel, infrastructure and operations in the future through increased productivity.

OTU, which will be led by industry and topical experts, will include a series of webinars and on-site group seminars.

It is tentatively scheduled to kick off in mid-November and will continue through the first quarter of 2013. Initial topics will include: Strategies for Cost Management and Improved Productivity; and New Strategies for Driver Development and Retention.

Attendees will receive usable tools as part of the program. These include course materials and manuals and computer models that can be adapted to fit specific company requirements.

More information on the program is available at www.trincon.com.
