Horton released an online application that helps OE engineers identify the fan model and design of Horton's plastic, modular and metal fans used in on-highway, off-highway, stationary and industrial equipment.

OEM engineers of engines, trucks, buses, off-highway and stationary equipment can enter design parameters. The application then processes the data and provides fan options, with links to show fan performance curves for the specific configuration. The system's recommendations are based on actual test results, not theoretical simulation. Those seeking plastic fan configurations receive a part number for ordering and a reference drawing with general and mounting dimensions.

Horton's application features an industry-first ability to include immersion and downstream restriction as parameters for evaluating fan performance. The application is continually updated with the latest test data on the newest designs.

Users can watch narrated video demonstrations or review a PDF to learn to use the system. The Airflow System Configurator and fan performance curves are available at www.hortonww.com/resources.
