McLeod Software released LoadMaster Enterprise and PowerBrokerPowerBroker Version 11.0., which includes enhancements such as service failure analysis and a lane analysis tool, as well as new third-party integration solutions.

Analysis tools for service level history will give carriers and brokers insight into historical information about how customers are being served and the context for measuring those service levels against a variety of key factors and variables that they can control.

"Service failure analysis is becoming more and more important for both carriers and brokers," says McLeod spokesperson Caroline Lyle. "While everywhere rates seem to be rising, the key differentiator in competing for the best customers is shifting from just rates to service performance."

The process of offering and accepting loads has been streamlined and further automated for outside carriers along with enhancements to the PowerBroker internet portal for customers and carriers. Brokers can also quickly see comprehensive up to the minute load offer and acceptance history for each carrier.

A lane analysis tool has also been added to PowerBroker to allow brokers to analyze their lanes by carrier margins, letting brokers create their own lane rate index for any market they serve.

"This is a big part of the strategic decision-making process," Lyle explains. "Understanding where to put your energy and resources, seeing the right places in the cold light of margins, is one of the critical functions that business intelligence must fulfill for senior management in these companies."

There are nearly a dozen enhancements for the McLeod financial solution, integral to both the LoadMaster and PowerBroker products. Companies can now set up statistical accounts in their general ledger to do cost rollups and establish cost centers with greater ease. Financial reports from the system can now calculate ratios of accounting data to non‐accounting data such as drivers, employees, customers, tractors, miles, and other variables.

New integration solutions for Internet Truckstop, Tenstreet, Macropoint Lite, Blue Tree Systems, and iBright have been added, as well. The existing LoadMaster integration solutions for mobile communications suppliers Qualcomm and Xata have been enhanced and expanded in this release.

There's significant growth in the number of trailer tracking and monitoring systems, which is now up to nine, including GE, Qualcomm, Skybitz, StarTrak, Transcore, PAR Logistics, CarrierWeb, International Telematics, and Bluetree.

Both the LoadMaster Enterprise and PowerBroker version 11.0 releases will begin shipping immediately.
