Mobile DVIR from FleetLine Metrics is a new automated vehicle inspection system that allows drivers to report daily fleet pre-trip/post-trip data electronically in real time from any location from a standard cell phone.
Using a simple text message, drivers communicate daily maintenance checks (tires, lamps, brakes, etc.) to any party in order to reduce costs, comply with regulations, and enhance safety. DVIR is a paperless recordkeeping system that can replace existing DVIR forms and records. The daily inspection results are sent by text message from a cell phone, so there is no need for telematic capability.
