Vigillo introduced a 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecard for shippers, brokers and underwriters.

VIgillo creates data mining software products designed to aggregate, organize and deliver complex fleet safety information in an easy-to-read scorecard format.

The company's latest offering provides the ability to easily analyze the safety performance of selected carriers under the new CSA (Comprehensive Safety Analysis) methodology and make decisions about motor carrier partners that meet their capacity needs and conform with their risk threshold.

"Our new 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecard allows shippers, brokers and underwriters to ensure that their own risk tolerance levels are not exceeded," said Steve Bryan, CEO of Vigillo. "These companies, which work with hundreds and sometimes thousands of carriers, can be at risk for a negligent hire lawsuit if they place freight with an unsafe carrier. The new scorecards permit our 3P customers to set their own custom thresholds and determine which carriers fall within the boundaries of their specific risk profiles."

The new Vigillo 3P Carrier Analysis Scorecard gives customers the ability to create a list of carriers to benchmark and to assign a weight to each of the categories in the CSA system. That information is used to calculate a threshold that fits their risk comfort zone. Vigillo then ranks each carrier on the customer's list, providing a high level view of a carrier's safety performance.

The seven BASICs (Behavioral Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories) under CSA include Unsafe Driving, Fatigued Driving (Hours-of-Service), Driver Fitness, Controlled Substances/Alcohol, Vehicle Maintenance, Cargo-Related and Crash Indicator. Until CSA data is made public, Vigillo carrier customers have to agree to release data on their operations. After the data is made publicly available, permission will only be required for the Crash BASIC data.
