Aktas Group, headquartered in Turkey, is bringing its Airtech Air Springs to the U.S.
The Aktas Group has seven manufacturing plants around the world, with an annual capacity of over 2.5 million units covering more than 800 different types of air springs.
The Airtech Air Springs have strong commercial ties to OEMs and tier1 suppliers such as Daimler - Mercedes Benz. All materials, from the compound used to make the bellows to the components used in the assemblies, are made in house.
The Airtech product lineup includes suspension and cab air springs for trucks, trailers and buses.
The Aktas Group has incorporated a subsidiary in the U.S. -- Aktas North America Corp. The operation will be managed by Burak Yilmaz and his team to offer customer service and engineering support to the North American OEM and aftermarket customers from the Chicago distribution center. The company is also planning to set up an assembly plant in North America to source the required components locally and better serve its newly developing customer base.
