Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems has introduced rivet-less front and rear covers for Self Setting Automatic Brake Adjusters (S-ABA).
The front and rear covers of the S-ABA, which previously had a retaining rivet, have been replaced with rivet-less front and rear covers that are now retained by an adhesive compound that provides enhanced sealing and improved tamper resistance. The rear cover has a unique grease relief to create a designed path for grease flow.
According to Haldex, its ABAs reduce stopping distance and promote driver control by maintaining optimum brake lining-to-drum clearance. The brake adjustment also helps prevent uneven tire and brake wear.
