OTC, an SPX Brand, has released the new 27.5-ton Under Axle Jack, an air-powered jack with a robust design architecture and many ergonomic features.

"Positioning the jack is easy, even under vehicles with set-back axles, thanks to a 48-3/4-inch four position handle that locks into any of three positions, from vertical to horizontal, and includes a 'stow away' position for convenient storage," said Eric Adamson, SPX service solutions product manager of equipment and heavy-duty tools. "In addition to the four position handle, this design incorporates both a hand release knob and Venturi vacuum system for power return with no load."

The new axle jack can be used for lifting loaded trailers, buses, and other Class 7 and Class 8 vehicles. The jack has a completely sealed piston that reduces the likelihood of hydraulic fluid contamination. It also features a single control switch, a self-retracting ram, four adjustable handle lever positions, an air-driven cylinder, and a reduced width for easy access to lifting points. It operates on standard shop air, ranging from 90 to 175 psi.

The OTC 27.5-Ton Under Axle Jack comes with a 3 15/16-inch adapter and 4 7/8-inch screw-extended length. Both the adapter and the primary saddle have individual storage positions that have been incorporated into the main body of the jack.
