Protection One has introduced Asset Protection Sensors, small, wireless sensors that help detect the theft or tampering of valuables.
These tamper-resistant sensors can be placed on anything of value, and if movement is detected, a signal will be sent to a Protection One monitoring center operator.
The sensors use the company's patented Micro-Electro-Mechanical System Accelerometer technology to detect if an object has been moved from its original position. Each sensor has four function modes (High-sensitivity, Standard-sensitivity, Tilt and Anti-tamper) that trigger an alarm or notification based on the user's preference.
In addition to sending alerts to the monitoring center, the sensor can alert customers via e-mail or text message if they choose to add eSecure services from Protection One.
