Chart Technica, a Johannesburg, South Africa-based chart publisher, has introduced a new freight chart, a visual representation of the freight industry.
It includes information on truck axle loadings and payload information of the common truck combinations.
The main illustration allows the viewer to follow the route that non-hazardous, hazardous, valuable, perishable and out-of-gauge goods take through the different modes, including courier, warehousing, consolidators, bulk solids, liquids and gas, and the bulk car carrier.
A container terminal and the air cargo enlargement show the whole process that goods take from arrival to being loaded on board the freighter.
