Built from structural 6061 aluminum, Safe Step works in conjunction with a stake pocket or removable rail pocket, the company says. The product measures less than 34 inches and weighs less than 14 pounds. The ladder can hold up to 400 pounds, according to testing. A bolt on, weld on receiver is also available for custom application points.
Safe Step has a provisional patent and has been classified as a removable telescoping utility step.
