The newest version of GpsGate's VehicleTracker web-based application includes a redesigned user interface, configurable system alerts for e-mail and SMS notifications and a mobile application interface for those working in the field.

VehicleTracker 2.3 is a web-based GPS tracking application for transportation companies and tracking solution providers. The application is on the GpsGate Server platform.

"With GpsGate Server we can help our customers filter out relevant information for immediate action so they can be notified if the temperature is too high in a food transport or if a truck has not left in time for a pick up," said Fredrik Ostman, CEO at Neureka Technology, a tracking solution provider in Sweden. "With immediate alerts they can avoid penalties from their customers."

"One of the unique capabilities of GpsGate Server is that it is open, so that users can configure and extend the platform," said Arman Taghian, regional manager of GateX, a location-based solutions provider in the Middle East.

A large number of different devices can be connected to GpsGate Server including dedicated tracking devices, Windows laptops, Windows Mobile devices and other mobile phones. In addition, the system supports multiple map providers, including custom maps.

GpsGate is a trademark of Franson Technology AB, a privately held software company based in Stockholm, Sweden.
