PulseTech Products has released the commercial version of its SP25 SolarPulse solar battery charger, a 25-Watt charger that has been tested and used by military forces.
PulseTech's SP25 SolarPulse battery charger can charge, condition and maintain vehicle batteries.
According to the company, the 1.6 amp SolarPulse charges, maintains and de-sulfates all types of 12-volt lead acid batteries including Standard, AGM and Gel types. The charger is designed to work with either single batteries or up to four batteries connected in parallel. The unit can be used on a variety of truck applications, including fleets, emergency vehicles, tractors and tractor-trailers.
The charging system combines PulseTech's patented, high frequency Pulse Technology with a microprocessor controlled intelligent charging algorithms to charge, condition and maintain vehicle and equipment batteries. It can extend battery performance and useful life by up to five times, PulseTech says.
Outfitted with a polyurethane encapsulated solar panel mounted on a solid aluminum back plate, the SP25 uses single-crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells. It's also equipped with LED indicators for easy-to-understand status functions.
