1st Guard Corporation, a truck insurer based out of Venice, Fla., has launched AheadofMe, an iPhone application that determines future destination by analyzing current location, speed and direction of travel.
The new application, which was designed for the American trucker, also displays the high and low temperature along with speed, latitude and longitude and course direction, giving the user a full view of their environment.
"AheadOfMe is the first app of its kind that gives our customers quick information pertinent to them being on the road," said Daniel Ribar, chief information officer of 1st Guard Corporation. "It was designed specifically for long-haul truckers who will benefit from knowing destination and weather info at a glance."
