Through an alliance between Stemco and Duroline to provide brake linings in North America, the companies will launch a high performance friction material using the proprietary "Wave Process."
According to Stemco Duroline, this material provides better stopping, longer life, reduced noise and reduced drum wear.

The new product includes friction for standard, premium and specialty applications rated from 20,000 to 29,000 pounds. The new product line includes Horizon SP, for on-highway customers, Crest XL, for demanding highway applications, and Vista HP, a more high performance option for more demanding applications. The product line also includes Ultra Peak, which uses film transfer technology. The alliance offers UltraPeak BRT for bus, refuse and transit applications, and UltraPeak HH for severe, heavy hauling applications.

The Stemco sales team will provide on-site foundation brake training to maximize both the life of friction material and vehicle safety.

"This alliance combines Duroline's great product with Stemco's precision training to improve the braking performance of customers' equipment while lowering their total operating costs," said Jon Cox, Stemco president.
