Doran Manufacturing will integrate its 360 tire pressure monitoring system with DriverTech's TruckPC, the company's Windows Embedded onboard computing and mobile communications system
. Through the new partnership, fleets can now access tire pressures for tractors and trailers in both the truck cab and at fleet headquarters.

While tire pressure monitoring has typically been the responsibility of the driver, fleets can now manage tire pressure from their home office as well. Real-time monitoring of tire pressures allows drivers and fleet managers to coordinate scheduled repairs to avoid costly roadside breakdowns and improve the overall safety of the fleet.

"We are excited to offer the capability to communicate tire pressure information and critical low pressure warnings to both the driver and fleet managers," said Jim Samocki, Doran general manager.

"The ability to monitor tire pressures and deliver real-time warnings to both the drivers and fleet managers is a unique capability that we are making available to the trucking industry," said Mark Haslam, CEO of DriverTech. "The combination of our software and Doran's tire pressure monitoring systems will help fleets improve their efficiency and reduce operating costs."
