Great Dane Trailers has unveiled its new Classic Truckload refrigerated trailer during the Great American Trucking Show this week
. The new trailer features Great Dane's ThermoGuard and CorroGuard products.

CorroGuard works to combat equipment deterioration and corrosion. CorroGuard, which uses GatorHyde technology, is a spray-in-place thermoplastic elastomer coating that is applied to suspensions and support gear for long-term protection.

The trailer's ThermoGuard interior lining is meant to extend the life of the reefer, as its thermoplastic liner works to reduce the thermal degradation that happens with most trailers. According to the company, the unit will also run less, consume less fuel and require less maintenance, keeping operational costs down.

"By helping to maintain insulation performance over the life of the trailer, the cooling unit will not have to work as hard each year to make up for degrading insulation performance," the company said. "This advantage helps maintain excess capacity, while lowering cooling unit run-time hours and saving cooling unit fuel."

At GATS, Great Dane will also showcase its Freedom platform trailer with CorroGuard and Meritor Roll Stability Support technology. The Freedom is a combination steel and aluminum trailer that offers the advantage of getting competitive weight and price without sacrificing strength and durability.
