Cobra Electronics' new GPS navigation and routing device was designed specifically with the professional truck driver in mind.
The new product, the 7700 Pro, is equipped with truck-specific data and a seven-inch, 16:9 wide screen.

Through partnerships with ProMiles Software Development Corporation and TruckDown Info International, the 7700 Pro provides truck-specific points of interest, such as routable travel center locations, detailed amenity information, fueling stations, restaurants, heavy duty towing, truck and trailer repair shops, truck-friendly hotels and weigh scales.

The device also plans routes after taking into consideration vehicle specs, including height, width and weight. It also provides complete coverage data including STAA National Highway Network and Access Roads; National Bridge Inventory List; National HazMat Route Registry; and detailed truck data for the lower 48 States and Canada.

The 7700 Pro's text-to-speech capability provides the driver with loud, clear verbal turn-by-turn directions. At any time, the device can be switched over to "car mode," so that the driver can use it in personal vehicles. The product also comes with three months of unlimited downloads from Cobra's AURA Camera & Driving Hazard Database, which alerts drivers to the locations of fixed speed and red-light cameras, dangerous intersections and known speed traps.
