Bar's Products has rebranded its Rislone Ring Seal to better describe the product's functionality. The product has been renamed Rislone Ring Seal Smoke Repair and redesigned with a new brighter label.

"Rislone Ring Seal was formulated to reduce oil-related, bluish gray exhaust smoke, but that wasn't immediately clear from the product's name," explains Clay Parks, vice president of development for Bar's Products. "The new name, Ring Seal Smoke Repair, instantly tells customers which problem the product will fix."

Ring Seal Smoke Repair stops exhaust smoke by addressing "blow-by," which is usually caused by gaps in internal engine parts resulting from excessive wear. Ring Seal Smoke Repair thickens the oil film between these parts to fill the gaps. It also contains high-shear polymers to seal worn pistons and rings to stop blow-by. The product also cushions and coats engine parts to quiet noisy lifters and reduce wear. Ring Seal Smoke Repair retains oil flow characteristics in both hot and cold weather.

Ring Seal Smoke Repair can be added to engine oil at any time and used with conventional, high-mileage and synthetic engine oil in any gasoline or diesel engine. One bottle can treat four to six quarts of oil, the company says.
