McLeod Software users can now interface with ALK Technologies' PC*Miler Web Services and Multi-Version Switch, the company's mileage solution.

Through a new module, customers of LoadMaster IX and PowerBroker II will now have access to PC*Miler's functionality through a secure Tier 1 data center, which includes its Multi-Version Switch offering.

From McLeod's software, multiple versions of PC*Miler can be accessed on a single hardware server, including versions 16 through 23. The Multi-Version Switch reduces the number of dedicated network servers needed, as well as maintenance costs and setup fees, according to McLeod.

"This new module will help increase customer satisfaction for our carrier customers by providing accurate mileage calculations every time," said Tom McLeod, president and CEO of McLeod Software. "This will allow for significant savings in labor costs through more efficient routing and mileage request processing."

The new interface will allow McLeod product users to specify a certain PC*Miler version number on each mileage request, as many carriers' customers ask them to bill mileage based on a specific version.

"Their transparent interface allows McLeod customers to manage operations based on the most current, accurate version while billing on multiple previous versions as necessary," said Roy Schijns, vice president of sales for ALK's PC*Miler Solutions. "Accounting and dispatch modules can be uniquely and easily specified throughout the enterprise."
