Xantrex has redesigned its Prowatt SW 1000 Sine-Wave Inverter to be cost-effective and more powerful, the company says.

The new series is made to comply with UL 458 and CSA regulations, and its low electrical emissions meet FCC requirements. The Prowatt SW series comes equipped with a remote control, which can perform automatic ignition lockout turning off the inverter's output when the ignition is not engaged.

Other features include dual GFCI outlets and a USB port, equipping the sine-save inverter for use in class 8 trucks, work trucks and emergency vehicles. It can power electrical loads including variable speed power tools, audio visual systems and rechargeable devices.

The Prowatt SW 2000 and 600 watt models will be released in July and August, respectively.
