TMW Systems has rolled out TruckMate 2009, an updated version of its transportation software.

The new system now offers multi-company support, handling more than one related company's business transactions. This function is integrated in all standard TruckMate 2009 applications. Users can configure for viewing cross-company information or can restrict access to a single company.

The company has also instituted a rolling-release strategy for delivering product updates, meaning there will be smaller, more frequent enhancements for TruckMate.

The new version features a screen-designer mode, a GL Reset option and additional options for the Crystal Reports Access Manager. The system can now be integrated with ALK PC*Miler Tolls, Carrier411 and other online freight board services for brokerage.

Users of the intermodal feature can use the new quick-entry mode for adding new containers as well as more per diem rate and free day schedule calculation options. The new version also displays and assigns container and chassis names in both yard and trip door views.

TMW also updated LTL functionalities, including improvements to the city dispatch option to receive quick mapping capabilities to pickups and deliveries. Other enhancements include piece level tracking, short-form pick entry and quick bill entry, daily LTL quotes for current terminal and a new LTL mileage rule, to found out LTL driver pay rates automatically.

The company has increased the system's interoperability with TMW's DriverSeat web portal, TMT Fleet Maintenance software, IDSC ExpertFuel and the D2Link mobile communications system. Users can also experience enhanced integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP financial applications.
